  • August 9, 2018 at 12:19 AM

Hello – it’s a new day and just like every other day we are feeling so lucky to be your grandparents.   We have so many memories to share.   While we want all the grand children to know how much we love them.    Some live closer than others, or we talk to or visit with some more often than others, some things are not in our control.  Work schedules and school schedules, activities all play a role  but the truth is they are all close in our hearts.    This site is about bridging gaps and making sure after so many years of living in the mitten, you two know you are thought of and loved.  So many times we wish we could give you real hugs, not virtual ones and  for now this must do.    Today while working Poppy walked by his little stuffed chocolate chip cookie     🍪     It was a gift that you, Guillianna had gotten him and it still smells like chocolate chip cookies even after all this time.    He smells it every time he walks by it and it makes him think of the notes you used to leave in his brief case and surprises you’d leave him in ziplocs.        Every time we think of you both we smile.    He  thankfully has his special ceramic Tiger bowl that you,  Eli made him there too.    With all kinds of photos and pictures of you and the other grandchildren.     It makes his work day so very nice !   I think there are hundreds of pics surrounding him every day!

Hope you have had a wonderful day and always know that you’re both loved to the moon and back !

XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Love always

Summer Fun Coming to a Close !

  • August 7, 2018 at 4:47 PM

So here is your cousin Sebastian getting his first chance at walking thru the water in the spray park.     He’s gotten so big right ?      It was one of many moments where we wished, very much, you two could have been there.   You would have protected him for the girl he met there who wanted to push him around !     The summer is winding down and school is about to start.    I am so excited for you both.    Poppy sends his love and so do I.    We hope it’s going to be an extra special year for you.   I know how much you loved your time in Michigan and all the dream starters , fun times and fun memories.   We are hoping you will come back and visit sometime soon.    We have tried very hard to co ordinate with your mom and dad, asking to  come  to visit you, we have tried text, calls, emails, pretty much everything we could do but they say it was  and is not possible.   We will keep sending you lots of love and hope,  and we will always wonder when we will see you again.    Hugs from all of the family here in the Mitten! Great grandmas Sharyn and Sally, Papa Alan, as well as you own Nana and Poppy, are sending you wishes for smiles, happy hearts and a virtual hug until the day comes where your schedule is opened up a bit for visitors and family to say hello.   Until that day we will send  love letters.

XOXOXOXOXOXO

Love always ,

Silly starts to the school mornings!

We had a blast on our way to school … silly songs and laughter !    We hope your new school year is extra special!   It’s so hard to believe you will be starting the fourth grade and first grade !    So proud of you.     Every one that I still see at Notre Dame wishes you well and thinks of you often.    I will post pics for you of Joey, Annalise, Liam K and Liam C as well as Kate, Rylee, Sadie, Piper and all the rest of the old friends we see from time.   When we do I will get photos for you.     We sent about forty cards or so to you and have given the address to your closest friends.   I heard from Aunt Kiki that Anthony started today and she sent me photos, I simply can’t believe Eli is going to start FIRST GRADE AND GUILLIANNA, oh my gosh the FOURTH GRADE !   Wow 😮 so exciting !

We hope this new school year is amazing for you. Work super hard and read read read !    Make your dreams come true !    XOXOXOXOXOXO

Why write love letters?

  • August 5, 2018 at 10:46 PM

                 Always remember the fun!

Dear Guillianna and Elijah:

This a the first in a series of letters written to you by Nana and Poppy.   I do not know why you have not been able to call, or take our calls, I do not have an explanation to help a nine and six year old to be able to understand mainly because neither Nana or Poppy can understand it either.   We have not been able to see or speak to you and we had thought after a while things would change and you would be able to talk to us and tell us about your days.   We write these love letters to you so that you will always know how much you are loved, and that we know it is not your fault for not being allowed to  call or see us.   We know you are small children, and we want you to always be good for mom and dad and believe us  we truly know how you always want to make everyone happy.   So to make sure you know and always remember how amazing we think you both are we will keep sending these letters to help you one day when you are bigger to know that Nana and Poppy never stopped loving you.  That every day we are grateful for the amazing memories we had while you were in Michigan.   Every day we think of you and every day we hope you are happy learning growing and following your dreams!   We will update you with love letters about your cousins, aunts, uncles, great grandparents, all of the many people you were always so close with during your 9 and 6 years with us all in the Mitten State.    We hope you will feel our love, and know how full our hearts are with love.    Forever yours,

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

ALL OUR LOVE…

Shopkins and Micro Drifters?

  • June 2, 2015 at 2:04 PM

IMG_9984

Dear Mom and Dad,

We are giving Nana and Poppy a lesson on Shopkins and Micro Drifters.    Appearently Mitten folk don’t know about these tiny miracles… but rest assured we have educated them properly.    So I informed Nana that Season 3 Moose Toys Shopkins were released on June 1, 2015.   And since Nana lives in a bigger city than Fort Huachuca has, there are a lot of stores around.   She succeeded in finding me some season 3 shopkins… and I am super excited.   She also found the Micro Drifters that Eli loves.

She says, we have to earn these little magical packs of sunshine, our little bundles of fun… that’s what I like to call them…. yep, Eli and I love these sooooo much.   She also says you and daddy have to decide now that we are on summer break what the rules are for getting to open one of them.

IMG_9983

I know you and daddy are busy busy busy… and dad is traveling to where the “cheeseheads” are said to live, right near the mitten state.   I know you are preparing for your big adventure to the land of  ‘rice and nice’…. and we are settling in to our vacation spot quite nicely.

Bubba is pretty sick… as you heard… but we are trying to keep him happy and comfy.  Aunt Kiki will be home on Saturday from the land of Pasta and Pizza!    we will go to pick her up at the airport…. that will be super fun too.

We are both signed up for Gymanstics and nana is trying to find us some swimming lessons.   Can’t wait for you guys to make it here and spend some time in the land of green grass and lakes….

You’ll love it just like we do.

Hope you have a great day today.  Will send you a pic of us with our special packages after nap!   See you later,  all our love, your little prince and princess,

Eli and Guillianna

hanging out with cousin Steven!

Dear Mom and Dad,
Today we met some new friends, and had a play date at Nana’s. We had so much fun, played in the basement, played outside, and had pizza and then popsicles. It really was fun. Things are going great here in Michigan. Can’t wait for you to see the green grass! It is so soft!

We then went to visit Great Grandma Sharyn, Great Papa Alan, Great Uncle David, Great Aunt Kris, Steven, Marisa, Rachel, Noah, Great Great Aunt Shirley, Great Aunt Nori….and Great Grandparents, Cyd and Larry! It was super fun and we loved the attention. Played pinball at their house, just like you used to when you were small mom! Played chess, and all kinds of fun stuff, and of course I brought my shopkins, and Elijah brought his cars…. so we taught all the cousins a thing or two also….

Happy Easter 2012

  • April 8, 2012 at 10:32 PM

HAPPY  EASTER!

Dear Daddy and Mommy:

It was so nice to talk to you  daddy on the phone today, and mommy too, but I get to Tango her at least every day, I miss you daddy…. it is so hard to hear because of the delay and the interference but so nice just knowing you are okay.   This morning I woke up at the crack of dawn, we decided we would try to see the Easter bunny!   And guess who I got to see….

Can you believe it daddy ?   We got out of bed, went to the window and peeked out to find the bunny delivering me EGGS!   LOTS OF EGGS!   It was so fun!   I bet you could see them all the way over there where you are – there were so many!  Try clicking this link and maybe you will see the bunny!

http://youtu.be/P0k1k8aZ0YU

As I was peeking out the window, he turned and waved to me, then blew me a kiss and waved good bye as he hopped away…. down the street!   It was so neat!   I turned around and there was my basket full of Easter crafts and games.  Eli got a basket too!   It was so awesome.   We got dressed and went out to fill our baskets with eggs!

Here I am on my egg hunt!   It was so early there wasn’t a lot of light outside so Nana and the beast (the camera)had some adjusting to do…. trying to get a good picture… daylight has bearly begun here its not even 07:00 hours at Camp Nana… but you will love the pics anyway!

If you look the bunny left eggs on my best friends lawn too…. I bet Riley, Grant and Austin will be happy the bunny came there too!

The eggies had little surprises inside, stickers or toys, even little bunnies!

I started to wonder how I could get all the eggs in my little basket…. so the campers helped me we had to get big huge bags to carry all of the eggs!

Yeah… my cheeks are getting rosie it is still nippy in the Mitten State! Especially at 07:00!

I figured out that the bigger eggs had stuffed bunnies inside of them… so what would any one do after that discovery?

Our egg hunt went on for quite a bit… but every egg was a fun find!

Is anyone else getting tired yet?

Well as you can see, it was an amazing day… and seeing the bunny made me so happy!    I love you and as always – I am your Little Miss Adorable,

Guillianna!

Daddy Look It’s Eli and I …in a photo shoot for you!

  • January 24, 2012 at 3:26 AM

Dear Daddy… Get Ready… here is Eli’s real first photo shoot…. we are back at the Hood, but Nana took lot’s of picks for you and now she actually had a minute to put them up for you.   We are doing good, Eli is getting a tooth and starting drooling right before we flew home… and guess what he is just like me… when I was getting my teeth… I was always running a little fever and always pretty miserable when one would make it’s way through… but Eli is like me in a lot of other ways too… he has been feeling so much better, and smiling up a storm.   Take a look dad!

I think you’re gonna love these pics… Nana tried very hard to get some while we were there… but we kept her pretty busy – so here are more of your prince and princess!

I hope you are loving our photo shoot, I think I get more pictures though since I am always on the go go go and I love to pose… like these ….

He is not quite big enough for some of the action shots yet, but soon daddy…. very soon…. personally I think it is a good thing you are a soldier since we plan on giving you a run for your money…. when Eli starts movin’ there will be no stoppin us!

Me singing…. maybe if I sing a little louder, you will be able to hear me ?

In case you cannot tell, I am really having a great visit in the Mitten State… Nana, Poppy and all the campers at Camp Nana send hugs to you dad… and hope you will be home soon.   Nana says you are going to bring Eli and I back here so she can make you some homemade soup !   Then we can do the hokey pokey together and play- play – play!

Eli says he wants to PLAY PLAY PLAY TOO!   So hurry up daddy and come on home…. we are waiting ….

Until Nana gets more pictures…. I hope you have enjoyed these… and know we love you very much.  We cannot wait to see you again.    As always, sweet baby Eli and Little Miss Adorable…

GUILLIANNA AND ELI!

Last day of 2011!

  • December 31, 2011 at 10:39 AM

Dear Mom and Dad,

So here we are at the end of 2011!  This is great news daddy, it means you’ll be home sooner since 2011 is leaving and you are coming home in 2012.   I can’t wait!   Today’s photo shoot was brief… Nana grabbed a few between my patient’s and my grilled cheese.   Yep, I am DR. GUILLIANNA now… and while I am working hard… and so busy that Nana can’t keep up, I decided to hang out and chomp the cheese to let her grab a few pics for you!

CHOMPIN’ THE CHEESE!   It’s true, I love grilled cheese but Nana doesn’t make them as good as Mommy!

What better way to enjoy a sammy than to hang out on my favorite toy, the GUGU COASTER.

I am relaxing Daddy and Momma, I have a blast here at Camp, who wouldn’t ?  Laying around chompin the cheese, and playing all the time.   I am also learning my letters and so far my favorite one is ‘G’.   Go figure.    Nana says I will be learning how to spell my name…. sometime soon.   I think I will send you snail mail daddy and show you how I progress!    So, you probably want me to share my web site with Eli since he is my brother… and I am happy to share, but I got to say… Eli’s pics are not going to show much variety.   Here is Eli…

He too is “chompin” away, just not the cheese.   We took Eli to see the doctor today and he got checked out.  Dr. Eastman says, he is doing good and gave us a new plan to handle Eli’s tummy problems.   So far it is amazing and he is so happy!   Now back to me…

I went to see the doctor.   He says my ear infections have cleared up!  YEAH!   I am so happy.   I wore my doctor clothes to my appointment and they all wanted to take my picture.

I am cute… aren’t I?   Everyone loves my “daddy dimple” !   Now in case you are wondering about Eli…

Yep… it is a different picture, I know hard to tell, but it is.   Guess what… he is eating.  AND HE IS HAPPY!  Most of the pics of Eli are like this right now.   Nana says he will pose for photo shoots more as he grows.

I think you will be so happy to come home and see us, I know I will, and we are getting closer to that day.   I am hanging out in the mitten state and loving it.   Passing the time… and before you know it we will all be back together again.   While Eli grows stronger I am going to hang with him in Michigan… and then we will go back to Hood with mommy.   Nana is busy with things but promises to get you pictures often.

Let me know if you need Nana to send you a “grilled cheese”, they are so yummy!  Until next time daddy and mommy, I hope you remember Eli is always your sweet baby Eli…

and I… am always your Little Miss Adorable…

Dr. Guillianna!

I am THREE ! AND I HAD A PRINCESS PERFECT PARTY

  • December 20, 2011 at 12:44 PM

Dear Daddy, Mommy and Baby Eli,

Here I am ready for my princess party, and I am sending you pictures because I know Daddy cannot come from Afghan – he had to work… and baby brother Eli has been in the hospital at Fort Hood, so mommy has been taking good care of him.   Nana and Poppy are sad they have so many things going on, but they promised mommy and daddy I would have a special princess birthday party … and I did…. SEE ME IN MY PRINCESS PARTY DRESS!      I hope Mommy and Daddy will love seeing me at my princess party….. cause I know I had so much fun!

I am so excited…. let’s get this party started….

These are my friend RILEY  and GRANT she was so excited to go to my princess party…. here we are getting ready to go…. the princess carriage is going to pick us up soon and take us to the PRINCESS TEA PARTY CASTLE!

We all piled into the princess carriage, and I had so much fun!

My Aunt Kiki, and Aunt Allyssa were ready to have tea… the guys…. well they were good sports and went with smiles!

Hey where is Uncle Nick?

There you are!   and where is Aunt Arri…. Nana you’re too close!

Once we arrived my friends Grant and Riley got ready for the princess ball!  Here is Princess Riley and Prince Grant!

I was prepared for the ball by the ladies of my court and before I  knew it I was ready for the tea party to start!

 Was I beautiful Momma and

 Daddy?

 Don’t think for a minute I

 wasn’t ready for this….

I was born to be a princess

and I loved every second of

 this!

Get ready to see my princess tea party … it was so beautiful!

And I was an awesome princess!

What do you think of my friends and I….

We were ready to enter the castle…. hair done, fairy dust in place, and our fancy clothes…. Nana says, we were adorable… and being I am always your Little Miss Adorable, this was a perfect match!

Here ye…

Here ye…

Presenting Prince Grant, and

Princess’ Riley and

Guillianna!

Everyone had a spot… and pretty china for our tea… I was so good I drank pink tea from a china tea pot, and held the cup by myself.   I put it down softly on the saucer and didn’t spill a drop.   I had princess snacks including a strawberry.   And then everyone sang me Happy Birthday when I got my own cupcake and pink ice cream sundae!

After ice cream it was time for the ball, so I took my place on my thrown, and songs and dancing began!

I COULD HAVE DANCED ALL NIGHT!

Mom and Dad, this was a blast! Thank you for letting me come to Camp Nana for my Princess Birthday!

I am waiting for Santa to come, and have been very good.   Until I write you again, please please know I love you both, and I am being the best princess!  As always, I am your Little Miss Adorable, your sweet…

GUILLIANNA!

Hey daddy, guess what I did this weekend…

  • October 17, 2011 at 9:41 AM

Dear Daddy,

I am sending you some pictures to show you what is happing around here these days…  I went back to Fort Hood!   I am not at Camp Nana anymore because I had a special day… I got to fly back to Texas, and Nana and Poppy got to come.   We all got to meet Baby Eli!  Elijah Robert arrived on September 21, 2011 at 8:44p.m.   He weighed 4lbs. 8oz.!

Yep, I really am a big sister!

Look at this… a baby…. for me!

Everyone clap… yay!

He is so tiny dad!   Mommy says, someday he will be bigger than me, but ‘not today’ as I always like to say…

I am enjoying being a big sister.

After our long trip back to Texas, and getting hugs from mommy, I finally got to see the little guy and it was so exciting…

He is very good baby daddy, he doesn’t cry – he makes little noises that tell mommy it is time for some of his ‘bob’.

I was curious and I still am.   He makes noises, and squirms a lot.   Mommy asks me to help her and I do.  My first day home, I got right into the big sister role!  We were in Baby Eli’s room when mommy said we were going to get Eli dressed.   How cool, we get to put teeny tiny baby clothes on my teeny tiny brother, I thought… and she asked me to take his teeny tiny jammies to the laundry basket, and I did… I came running back awaiting my next assignment.   Then she handed me a teeny tiny soft white ball thingy…as she asked me to “take it to the garbage…”  I happily took it into my hands, and paused… stopped in my tracks… looked down at my hands, and for the next minute, let my brain compute what had just happened….what is this?  Hey this looks like a diaper… didn’t mommy remember… if “I” don’t use them anymore, why would I hold teeny tiny smelly ones?   My first reaction or thought… drop it!   My second, was ingenious….I proudly said, “Poppy do that” and  I then delegated the responsibilty to Popster.  What a great idea huh?

Look at him!   Eli says…. “hey what’s the big deal?”  It’s just a teeny tiny thing… aren’t all things teeny tiny cute?   (Well he is pretty cute and I am a BIG SISTER…  so I guess I can handle his little tiny dipes if mommy asks)

Thumbs up!  All is good, and ‘little guy Eli’ is dressed and ready to go!

I was a sucess… an awesome job as big sister… not only did I help my mom… but I knew exactly when to call in the troops… thanks Poppy for the help.

After all the waiting – I finally got to hold my brother – and give him his first kiss from his big sister!

I am very happy daddy… and will be so happy for you to come home and see us.   Until you come and hold us both we are sending these pictures your way to make your days brighter!

I love his little toes daddy, I keep asking mommy to take off his socks and then I give them a kiss.

From the little guy himself, sweet “Little Guy Eli” ,  AND LOOK DADDY…..

ITS MEEEEEEEEE…. WHEN I WAS BORN…. Yes, its hard to see since I was wrapped up like an Eskimo, but I was in the Mitten State where the snow was blowing and the air was colder than cold… but look ….he looks like me!

and your Little Miss Adorable,  we love you daddy… and we can’t wait for you to be home on leave…

Missing Daddy…

  • September 19, 2011 at 3:38 PM

Dear Daddy,

I finally got to hear you all the way from the far away place you work… and it was nice.   I was getting some string cheese in the grocery store a personal favorite as you know, and the phone rang…. it was you and mommy!  What a treat…. I am glad you are doing good daddy…  I don’t know if you get to see this site anymore, and mommy says you have not gotten any of Nana’s packages.    So Nana sent an envelope with some pictures of me, and just in case that didn’t work she thought she would put a few up on the web site.   I love you and mommy, and just wanted to tell you, I am doing great.   I use a big girl potty now.   I am eating good, and I am really so smart!  Nana and Poppy are always telling me what a good job I am doing.  I am getting ready for Baby Eli and will be home soon with Mommy.    Until we see each other Nana keeps trying to find a way for you to see me…. so here we go…

Until we see each other again daddy…. I love you and as always I am your Little Miss Adorable,

Guillianna!

Michigan Summers-and Birthday Parties…. YAY!

  • July 23, 2011 at 9:49 PM

Dear Daddy…

I am loving Michigan summer….and hope you can see it in my smile.   I have been enjoying Camp Nana and am really making a lot of friends.    Last week I went to the Kid Rock Water Park in Clarkston for my friend Riley’s birthday party and Nana left the “beast” home, so no photo ops.    This week it was my friend Kennedy and Reagan who had a birthday party and invited me!   I have so many pictures to show you, here are just a few…. are you ready to see your sweet Little Miss?

So Daddy you can see I am having a blast …. and Michigan is really fun!   Hope you are having a great day, and know that I love you and miss you very much, as always, your Little Miss Adorable,

Guillianna!

Hanging with my buds….

  • May 24, 2011 at 7:08 PM

I had so much fun today…. just wait and see……

Dear Mom and Dad…

I am having a fantastic day in the Mitten State!  Yes it is true.. I am the only one of my buddies without my safety helmet on (Riley has one too but has it off for the photo) … and you can bet Nana won’t let that be going on very long…. something tells me… I am in for a helmet fitting trip to the store in the near future.

Today I stayed at camp and played with Nana all day.  I went to lunch with Poppy… and well, didn’t feel much like eating.   But later I was a very good eater… and made you both proud.

The weather is actually nice in the Mitten State… rare but true.

I love playing outside, and especially love when buds Riley and Grant come over to see me.   I am starting to see how sisters and brothers share… which is a very good thing… that I will need to practice a bit for my new baby brother.

I am now fishing in my tubby.   Yes … fishing.   It is so much fun… and I am very good at it.

So it’s true… I call this the ocean…. and I am fishing for sharks… and fish, and crabs, and sea horses….

No word from daddy yet, but hopefully soon he will see my photos and smile…. Mommy says she is doing okay but I think she is missing me and daddy …. Nana is trying to check on her progress everyday.   Since I have been at camp I am not so interested in using my big girl potty… because well frankly there is way way too much for me to do and I do not want to even think about it… but Nana is trying… as you two well know… I have a mind all my own.

I will finish my love letter later…. and will hopefully have more photos for you to see… until later … I love you Mom and Dad.

Little Miss Adorable…

A Love Letter to My Daddy!

  • May 23, 2011 at 12:09 PM

Dear Daddy,  and of coarse mommy too… but today I want write to my daddy cause he is on a trip far far away!

I know you have to go away to work, and will be missing me each day.   So Nana and I decided to write and tell you every day… just how lucky I am that you love mommy and I, and that you are always in our hearts.   No land of sand this year for you… instead maybe a cave or two.   I am hoping you will be okay, and soon return… I will count the days!

I am sending you snap shots to see me today… and look at the hard labor I too have when I play.   Don’t feel alone when you are out roughing it… I am also pulling my load and keeping busy a lot.   I have WAGON DUTY and it is quite a chore….

Here I am trying to determine just how daddy would do this….

It’s hard labor Daddy, and look I too am in my Camp Nana fatigues (ACU’s)!  I know you wear boots but look daddy  I wear light up shoes!  ( They are so awesome in the dark)

Pull! Pull!   I am so strong.   I just want you to know that you are not alone…. I work at this playing thing really really hard all day long …. and by lights out I am pretty much zonked!

Wow … down hill is so much better!

It’s said you may miss some easy terrain…. so here is a glimpse of some green and pink to warm your heart.

In the army you have so many resources… humvee’s and equipment to help you along…. here at camp I too find that I am able to switch it up …. and try different methods of traveling about…( some how it seems there are always lots of other campers around…. a step or two either way… I am always found…. so while you hang with your fellow soldiers… I empathize dad… sometimes you must just wish you could break free… and see only me…. soon daddy I promise I will be waiting here…. and in the mean time…. I will keep them all running and busy as me…. just watch me go!

By the way daddy… please know they have special flags out for you… one every few feet along with yellow bows… Nana says the bows will stay all year through… until my daddy comes home to mommy, baby and me!   Yes… it is true friends and family alike…. I am to be a big sister which is why mommy is at the Hood.   She is working on base… and holding down the fort.. (army humor) and she and baby brother are missing me too…. I am here at camp for a visit and knowing all the while, my mom and my dad are missing my style.   So a few more photos I am sending your way… hoping to brighten your lonely days…  I love passing time by dancing to music, found this old radio and play songs for all of camp.  I love turning it up and dancing about… I get everyone to involved it is like my own personal  PT (more army lingo) and I keeping them in shape daddy…. just wait and see.

Then there is reading time… Nana loves sharing books…. we read and read and I take it all in….

I still cook in my kitchen and serve up “tea time”.   All campers must participate…. or they answer to me.

Uncle Nick and all the Aunties…. sit for tea!

Remember daddy… just like you do with me…. while youre away don’t forget our tea daddy, our shopping or baby stroller rides together.

Riley and Grant are my friends next door… they have a daddy in the Army.   He is stationed here by Nana so who knows… one day when you are home…. maybe thats where you will get to go….

I know you are lonely daddy… but look … here … It’s is me closer so you can take a better look.  One face so many expressions…. but all of them ME… you princess your girl…. your sweet baby!

Nana knows you won’t always be able to get to the internet… so enjoy every photo and memorize it…

And for now dear daddy… with all of my heart… I wish you happy days… and these eyes, this face with each day start…. I am as always your one and only…. Little Miss Adorable…

Guillianna!

P.S.   Dear Mommy…. thank you for telling me Daddy may get to see me one last time for a while… my next love letter will be for you….I miss you both….today and always…

Wow…. look at me!

  • May 17, 2011 at 7:18 PM

I am so so big…. can you believe it… look at me!

Do I look bigger….

Until next time, I am as always, Mommy and Daddy’s Little Miss Adorable….

Another week of “SPECIAL’s”?

  • March 28, 2011 at 12:37 AM

Dear Mom and Dad,

I wrote you the other day about my “special”.   And now I am writing you about Uncle Nick’s “special”.   I went to see him have a “special” day.  As a matter of fact it was a special week… first my Great Grandma had a birthday… and then you daddy you had a birthday… but with Great Grandma in Florida and Daddy at work… I haven’t photos to share… just lots of love in my heart… the photos I do have… since I am hangin’ at camp these days… would be with Uncle Nick.   Don’t you worry though  I CELEBRATED ALL THOSE SPECIALS… ONE THING I DEFINITELY AM IS GOOD AT ‘CELEBRATING’ Guillianna style.

Yeah, I stole it… I stole his cap… he is just lucky I didn’t steal the gown too…

Uncle Nick graduated this weekend with his 2nd college degree.   Personally I think I look amazing!

Uncle Nick and Aunt KiKi take time out to pose for the “beast”.  As did..

Uncle Nick and Aunt Alyx….and …

Uncle Nick and Aunt Arrianna… Uncle Nick was a busy guy with the beast snapping photos left and right..

Uncle Nick and Miss K!    And what kind of photographer would Nana be if she missed…

Poppy and Uncle Nick who always look awesome together too…  but not that I am partial… there is one photo that I feel takes the cake…

Yep you guessed it…. this happens to be the best shot of Uncle Nick yet don’t you agree…?   I was so impressed with the ceremony… that I figured I had better get moving on my own education.   So I got my reading glasses… and hit the books….

I am not sure if I am metriculating… or if this is my SOPHIA LOREN POSE…

This studying is serious stuff though …

I decided that I needed a little nourishment for better comprhension of my studies… so… I had some cereal as a “midnight” okay… late evening snack… but cereal is my Uncle Nicks fav… so in honor of him I at some scrumptious and mind enlightening delishisness….  thanks Uncle Nick for sharing your special with us all and I am told all those who love you were there too… where exactly I am not too sure about… but Nana says… everyone who loves Uncle Nick was right there with him “in heart” what ever that means Nana… she can be a little much sometimes (ask any of the campers) …… and I am sure Mom and Dad loved seeing me in your cap… it will prepare them for what lies ahead… Until next time Mom and Dad…  I send you love and WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY WISHES TO MY DADDY… I am sure you’ll get plenty of birthday kisses soon I blew them out the back door ALL THE WAY TO YOU… and as always, I am, your LITTLE MISS ADORABLE…

Guillianna!

What is a”special”?

  • March 23, 2011 at 3:35 AM

Dear Mom and Dad…

Things here are excellent.  One minor exception however.   SNOW yes… more of the wonderful white stuff that these Mitten State dwellers seem to be pretty used to.   See, for me… while it seems I was noticing that the white stuff had disappeared.   AND YES, I was looking forward to warmer days… and hoping for a trip to the park…hmmm, maybe not this visit…. it’s just a little to “wintery” around here.   The good news… IF SPRING SHOULD ARRIVE…I am ready for it…  yep, we had a few nice days and Poppy brought me a “special”.   Yep yep yep… I helped him put together my new and wonderful WAGON.   All the campers hoped that since the snow had melted we would be able to go out and take walks… so we worked, and worked and worked… (seemingly FOREVER) on building my new “special”.

I am telling you this project was big.. I worked and worked with Poppy and Aunt Alyx to create a masterpiece.

From smaller pieces to huge pieces… and pieces I have no idea what to do with… we worked and worked.

My ‘special’ is coming along…. and I can hardly wait… but I don’t mind… not one bit because Poppy lets me help.

I CALL IT THE “GUILLIANNA SPECIAL” AND BOY IS IT MAGNIFICENT…. Look what we made mom and dad…

So after our project was complete there was only one thing to do… PUT ON OUR MITTEN STATE WEAR… AND GO FOR A WALK.

and a few other winter clothing articles… ( okay so it wasn’t that cold but you know NANA mom always said she was OP.    No that does not stand for obsessive something… it stands for OVER PROTECTIVE)

Aunt Arri says I am a human burrito!   But Nana says… I was “warm”.

Baby Elephant and I had a great walk…. and yes mom and dad.. while Nana did not pull out the old bike helmets, I do in fact have a seat belt on as does baby Elephant.  Note the COOLER, attached.  Hmmm, maybe today it would be considered a warmer…. it’s insulated.   My juice stayed plenty cool in my cup holder, so… I think I will just use this for toy storage until a warmer day.

So when Nana went to put up these fantabulous photos… she was checking the web site as she always does as my “WEBSITE ADMINISTRATOR”.   One thing she does, is keep an eye on who is keeping an eye on me… she almost didn’t get the pictures up… she was taken back…. (another Nana moment of sorts I guess) then Nana remembered something… she said today’s LOVE LETTER WOULD BE ABOUT MY ‘SPECIAL’   Not really being cute or funny though… she calls it “special” because it is so incredibly special.  Not because it’s an awesome ride (which it totally is) … nope… but because putting it together with Poppy and Aunt Alyx was ‘special’.   Because walking with the campers is “special”.  Do you want to know what Nana saw when she was working on my web page? It was visits from JAPAN.   Nana says, when someone logs onto my site, she knows where they are logging on from and what page they looked at.   THIS DAY   today, there were visitors on my site IN JAPAN!  Visitors who LOGGED on to specifically a date in my love letters.  The date the visited was THURSDAY APRIL 1RST 2010.   Why?   NOT TO SEE LITTLE MISS ADORABLE… AND WHILE HARD TO BELIEVE , I know – IT IS TRUE THEY WERE NOT SEACHING FOR CUTE BABY PHOTOS AND LOVE LETTERS… NO SOMETHING MORE….You see… often people find my site because they enter a phrase that matches something I have written to you and daddy.   ON APRIL 1rst 2010 I TITLED MY LOVE LETTER to you and daddy in the land of sand as… ‘FINDING OUR STRENGTH’.   Today someone in Japan found me… because they were looking on the internet and had typed…”finding our strength“.    Nana, then and there had yet another reminder… that it is the moments like building my ‘special’… the moments you see in my face when I smile… that we all live for that make LIVING ‘SPECIAL’.   It is in those SPECIAL moments that we all find our strength.  It is those moments that define our lives as “special”.  So here I am mom and dad… and these photos are what Nana says will give us all strength… it’s something to do with innocence… with love…. with pure moments of happiness and joy… that take us all to someplace “special”.   While families all over the world suffer hardships… I HAD A JOB TODAY… as do we all every day….TO LEARN WHAT TRULY SPECIAL IS….  SO WE NEVER FORGET HOW LUCKY WE ALL REALLY ARE AND WE REMEMBER TO HOLD ON TO, AND TRULY ENJOY THE SIMPLE “SPECIALS” LIFE HAS TO OFFER.

Until next time, Mom and Dad… I am doing great… I am feeling very ‘special’… and I am truly happy.  I hope you have a great day… and as always, I am your Little Miss Adorable, your sweet girl…

Guillianna!

A NANA MOMENT….

  • March 22, 2011 at 11:09 AM

Dear Mom and Dad,

Yes it is true, Nana had another one of her “nana moments”.   I have to say… it’s wierd… she says that “there are times when (she) is just so sad that her daughter cannot be here” – just like there are times when she is “so sad that I am in Texas and she misses seeing me”… well today was one of those “Nana moment” days…   Nana… was all teary because she wished mommy and daddy could be with me at my first class… so she brought the beast… and decided she would GET A BAZILLION PHOTOS AND BORE EVERYONE WITH MY EVERY STEP…. but all the while knowing that mommy and daddy will love seeing me… so here we go….

I HAD MY VERY FIRST BALLET CLASS… YES IT IS TRUE… and I was sooooo happy.   Now keep in mind that I am not a fan of being out of Nana’s sight… and at first I was a little unsure… but once the music started I was part of the class and having a blast.

The little girl in yellow… well she was having fun with me… kinda like I was her personal little ballerina… you’ll notice in many of my pics…. she is a little “close”.   I didn’t mind though… I just loved being there.

I did all the things I was taught… I listened to the directions, and I had so much fun.

After we played with scarves… we then got bean bags… and danced with bean bags…

We balanced them on our heads, and shook them up to the music.

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN….

I was the smallest in the class but I kept up with all the kids.  They are all my age or a little bit older… but not much.

We all had to use our inside voices… and we all stretched and pointed our toes… our teacher is named MISS WENDY and she had a girl from her teenage class help out too.

We really got to do a lot of things.   Thank you Mommy and Daddy for letting me dance… I love it.

We then became princesses and a prince…. and we walked accross a bridge to get to a castle tea party… watch me… I do it too!

Yep is is my new friend… she is really enjoying me in class… I like the attention….

Look Mom and Dad…

I DID IT!

I AM SO AWESOME!

After we went over the bridge, everyone had a turn, we all met in the corner for a tea party.

It was so fun…

I sat down with all the kids and drank tea with them.  (It was pretend tea but I am an expert at this so I fit right in)

We learned twirling and hopping, pointing our toes and all kinds of dance steps.

We danced to Ariel from the Little Mermaid and it was so wonderful that I did not want it to end.

Here is more of ME being awesome…

What do you think?

I think I did great… and Miss Wendy was so proud of me…

Nana was all teary… and smiling and taking a bazillion photos…

yeah… a Nana moment for sure…

Nana says she couldn’t capture my smile when I finished my walk… cause I was facing the group but it was HUGE!

At the end of the class Miss Wendy let all the other parents and Nana’s in to watch us perform to the Disney music.

I am telling you this was an awesome time here in the Mitten State.

I go every week… and I am sure Nana will take more photos for you to see me progress…

but to be honest…

I am quite the ballerina already.

I have the stuff that ballerina’s are made of..

I like pink…

I like music….

I like when everyone looks at my moves…

I like listening to Miss Wendy…  I feel soooooo BIG!

Nana has more pics for you and daddy… but for now… this is me… saying…THANK YOU SO MUCH MOMMY AND DADDY… I LOVED THIS… AND I AM HAVING A FUN TIME.   As always, I am your Little Miss Adorable, Little Miss Dancer…

GUILLIANNA!
